Wiikey 2 stocks now fully replenished!

After a long and uneasy period whereby Lattice chips (the main component in Wiikey 2) were difficult to get hold of, we are pleased to say that we are now on top of the situation and that stock levels have returned to normal. Most of our official distributors have placed new orders already, so you should not find any resellers out of stock of Wiikey 2 anymore!

Wiikey Soldering Contest Winners Announced!

The Wiikey Soldering Contest has now come to a close. The winners are: 1) Miki 2) Maitre Kanter 3) Stefoulefou 4) Bonx 5) eXraZ. All of these people have won fabulous prizes supplied by the Wiikey Team, Xavbox and Arcalide. Details of the winning entries can be viewed in English and en français on the Xavbox website. Please note that this competition is intended to be a fun event. Users installing a Wiikey for serious use should refer to the installation guide and follow all recommended best practices (all wires should be as short as possible, use a thick ground wire etc)

Update v1.2 Released - Update Blocker Feature Added!

An Update Blocker feature has now been added to Wiikey 2 and is available as a DVD update in the resources section. By default, this new feature will block harmful other-region updates to your Wii, that are included in some games, but allow own-region updates. There is also a config option to block all updates regardless of region. Many thanks to the exhaustive testing provided by ModSupplier, OzModChips and Xavbox!

Wiikey 2 can now been installed with 6 wires

After a thorough testing phase, we are pleased to confirm that Wiikey 2 can now be installed with just 6 wires on D2C, D2C-2 and D2E. This applies to all Wiikey 2 chips with a yellow serial number sticker on the back. Chips with a white serial number sticker should be installed using 9 wires. The installation guide in the resources section has been updated to reflect this.

Please note that there are no other differences between the white-sticker and yellow-sticker chips. Both are Wiikey v2.0. Only the wire-count has been changed for the chips with the yellow sticker. DMS, D2B and D2B should still be installed with 5 wires.
